What Is this Newsletter?

This newsletter is a place for me to share what is happening with Bolita and share my thoughts around masa. I’ve described Bolita as an art / research / reclamation project, but have only been able to convey my intentions and motivations via brief posts on instagram or through very brief quotes in various interviews. This newsletter is a longer format expression of some of the thoughts and motivations for starting a landrace maíz focused pop-up in the Bay Area.

Every other Monday, I send out an update on where you can find Bolita and any events/pop-ups we are having, links to press, recommendations for things you should check out. Every once in a while, I will publish masa recipes for you to try at hime and to inspire you to use masa beyond just pressing a tortilla.
